What has been your favorite thing about working in your department?
I love interacting with such a vulnerable patient population. It motivates me to be my best and advocate for the best care. Kids bring so much joy to the job and I love that we get to work so closely with kids and their families.
What are you most proud of in your career so far?
I am most proud of helping patients and families through some of the most difficult times in their lives. My previous jobs were in pediatric oncology and being part of a patients journey to recovery has been something I look back fondly and am proud to have been a part of. But no matter what the illness is, no parent wants to see their child not feeling well. I have been proud to help heal and help ease any stresses along the way.
What message would you like to share with our miracle families that you have served or patients that you will serve in the future?
Love and positivity go a long way for healing and recovery in any situation!
If you could meet anyone in the world (past or present) who would you choose?
Michelle Obama. She is such a bright light in this world and so inspiring. I love her passion for children and their health and would love to talk to her about the state of health for kids in our country.
