Festival of Trees

Since Spring is here and Winter is fading away, we find ourselves reminiscing about one of our favorite events of the Holiday Season. The Festival of Trees is a 2-day event put on by Saint Vincent Hospital and the Children’s Miracle Network every year in late November. The main attraction is a gallery collection of different, elaborately decorated trees, and guests can vote on their favorites to determine which is best. Other activities include Breakfast with Santa, crafts and cookies in Santa’s Castle, a Teddy Bear “Clinic,” a Reindeer Experience, and an auction at the end of the event to give each of the professionally decorated trees a home for the holidays. Additionally, there is always a form of entertainment, which in 2016 was Brett Fallon. Fallon is planning to return to the stage for this year’s event. The 2017 Festival of the Trees will be held  at the Bayfront Convention Center from November 24 through November 26. This will be the 33rd Annual Event!

Although we in Northwest Pennsylvania are certainly eager for warm weather, this does give us something to look forward to when November rolls around once again. The Festival of Trees is a beloved, family-favorite event, and the best part is the benefit. Proceeds go to the Children’s Miracle Network, which provides life-saving medical equipment and care to kids right here in the Erie community. The Festival of Trees is a magical event for family fun that gives back.
