Festival of Trees Winner

Saint Vincent Hospital’s recent fundraiser for Children’s Miracle Network and the Saint Vincent Foundation, the Festival of Trees, has come and gone. This year was a huge success as Saturday, November 25th saw the most attendance in the festival’s 33-year history.

This year, the festival featured 65 professionally decorated trees, constant live entertainment, a six-room Santa’s Castle full of hands-on crafts, live reindeer, a trackless train ride, a light-show, cookies from Mrs. Claus’ kitchen and Santa himself.

Of the 65 Christmas trees, one particular tree stood out to the public. Every year, the guests of the Festival of Trees are allotted one vote for their favorite tree in the gallery.

The winning tree, sponsored by Children’s Miracle Network and decorated by nurses of the NICU

After the votes were tallied, the winner was declared as the tree sponsored by the Children’s Miracle Network, decorated by nurses of the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU). This tree was modeled after the movie Elf, and was named, “Santa, I Know Him!!!”

Congratulations to the winning decorators, but the real winner of this event is the Erie community. All of the proceeds of this event stay local by benefiting those in need through the Children’s Miracle Network of Saint Vincent Hospital, and the Saint Vincent Foundation.

If you missed this chance to support your Erie community, don’t worry about it! Saint Vincent Hospital is putting on a Radiothon in support of the Children’s Miracle Network of Saint Vincent Hospital. It will be held on December 14th on Classy 100 (99.9 FM)
from 6 am to 7 pm. You can also visit us all day at Sam’s Club where we will be hosting the event. To donate to the cause, click here.
